The 8-colour ink configuration includes three black inks and with three paper paths, it supports a wide range of roll and cut media, up to 1.5mm thick, for superb edge-to-edge photo quality prints. The 9880 features permanent Micro Piezo™ print head, Variable-sized Droplet Technology™ and Epson's 3.5pl Ultra Micro Dot™ for superior detail. Superb reproduction is offered with perfectly neutral grey scale prints, very wide colour gamut and smooth tonal graduations.

A true evolution of our past-generation of photographic printing technology, the latest 44-inch Stylus Pro 9880 professional wide-format printer incorporates forward-thinking designs with a newly enhanced 8-color ink technology, resulting in a final print of uncompromising quality.

With Eight-Channel MicroPiezo® AMC™ Print Head you have a design capable of handling eight separate ink channels with a one-inch wide high-performance print head with 180 nozzles per channel. Simultaneously used Black, Light Black, and Light Light Black inks significantly improves the printer's gray balance while eliminating color casts. The smallest ink droplet size is 3.5 picoliters and the Variable Droplet Technology produces up to three different droplet sizes per print line.
