Print Services - Let us handle your print job!

Print Services - Let us handle your print job!

Welcome to our wholesale sublimation and heat-transfer print services. After repeated requests for this service, we have decided to offer print and transfer services to our distributors and current Conde customers to help them serve their customers better. If the distributor has a request that is a little too big for him to handle, or he has temporary equipment problems, or the distributor might want to offer products that are too large (floor mats, bath towels, baby blankets, etc) for his current equipment to handle, Condé Systems can help.

Actual customer testimonial:

"I just want to say thank you for the excellent work and great customer service on my art pieces. I received my panels around 6:30pm last night. When my wife and I unpackaged (excellent packaging to prevent scratching) the pieces we were stunned with the quality, crispness, and color rendition of the finished pieces. I have applied my art work to different media (archival paper / canvas) and I must say the panels are much more superior when it comes to showcasing my art style.

Again thank you and I am looking forward to completing additional art pieces with Conde Systems in the future."

Our experience in this market, supporting large production customers, color management, product knowledge, etc. make us uniquely qualified to provide this much needed service to the distributor/sublimator/ network.

Some hints to help Print Service orders go more smoothly and prevent frustration and delays for our customers. Approximately half our Print Service orders are delayed because the customer sends us artwork that is not suitable or not printable in some way for the requested order.

  1. Use our templates! Download our templates and use them to create your print art before sending it to us. One of our biggest delays is artwork that doesn’t fit the requested substrate (e.g., a typical rectangular photo format is submitted for a square tile. There is no way to fit without cropping or stretching the image and no way to know what the client expects.)
  2. Convert Text to curves OR save as a jpg! If there is text in the image and submitting the cdr, pdf, psd or eps file format, convert the text to curves. If you save the files as jpg or tif, there is no need to convert to curves.
  3. Enough Resolution? Usually a minimum of 150PPI at print size is fine for most stuff. 200-300PPI for ChromaLuxe or Tiles. PPI = Pixels Per Inch.
  4. You don’t need to go through the RFQ page to simply upload files. There is a direct link for file uploads.
  5. Place all orders with your Account Manager. Completing the RFQ form or uploading artwork doesn’t automatically generate an order.
  6. Use specific file names like “Veronica’s Flowers 36x60 floor mat.jpg” - You would be surprised at how many files are uploaded to our server that are named “Conde Print file.jpg” or something similar. We want to make sure we get and print the correct file.

ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS

File Formats accepted:
.pdf - Portable Document Format
.cdr - CorelDraw™ (version X7 or lower)
.eps - Encapsulated Postscript
.psd - Adobe Photoshop
.tif - TIFF bitmap
.jpg - Jpeg bitmap
.bmp - bitmap
Client (Distributor) is responsible for all artwork releases, permissions and licenses. Use specific file names like “Veronica’s Flowers 36x60 floor mat.jpg” - You would be surprised at how many files are uploaded to our server that are named “Conde Print file.jpg” or something similar. We want to make sure we get and print the correct file.

Resolution
Vector files in the native graphics format are preferred over bitmaps, especially if enlarging a graphic for wide-format output. Include fonts or convert fonts to curves.

All submitted raster/bitmap files should be 150ppi to 200ppi* at print size. 150ppi is usually acceptable if transferring to fabrics. 200ppi is better for transferring to Unisub and other hard substrates. If it is a bitmap file, Tiffs are preferred. * Resize image in Photoshop to the intended print size without "resampling" it to determine ppi (pixels per inch).

Fonts (a.k.a. Text)
Convert Text to curves OR save as a jpg! If there is text in the image and submitting the cdr, pdf, psd or eps file format, convert the text to curves. If you save the files as jpg or tif, there is no need to convert to curves.

Color
Please use the RGB color space when creating new graphics* and when submitting any and all artwork**. Digitally captured or scanned photos default to RGB color. We will certainly accept CMYK and other color spaces in the artwork, but we usually get better results in RGB.

* NOTE: The output from our printer will not match your printer nor will it match your computer’s monitor. If color is important to the job, the customer must approve a proof from our production facility.

** Client (Distributor) is responsible for all artwork releases, permissions and licenses.

Actual Print Size and Intended Substrate
Please specify the exact print size of the image requested as some artwork may get distorted when converting to a different file format. Letting us know the intended substrate will help us provide a more satisfactory print for you.

Artwork fees
Additional fees may be assessed for editing the submitted artwork. This includes text editing, proofs, color matching and design work. A full color proof or PMS (pantone matching system) color number needs to be submitted with the artwork when color matching is requested. The customer pays any shipping charges for approvals of samples/proofs. If specifying the color from a known standard (like Pantone Matching System) is not suitable for your needs, please send us a hard copy proof* to:

Condé Systems, Inc.
Attn: Print Services
5600 Commerce Blvd. East
Mobile, AL 36619

* Do not send original art or something you cannot afford to lose. Condé Systems is not responsible for loss or damage of proofs.
** Prints from your printer will not match the output from our printer. Your customer needs to approve a proof from our printer.

Variable Data Printing
We offer variable data output. You can personalize each item with a name or special graphic. An example would be name badges for a convention. There is a fee of $15 for each field. The first line of your database should contain the names of the fields.
Please provide data in comma delimited .txt file or in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.

Example of a .txt file for Name Badges with four fields:

First Name,Last Name,Title,Company
Edward,Teach,Captain,Queen Anne's Revenge
Shelby,Smith,President,Fresh Face Modeling Agency
Henry,Morgan,Expediter,Caribbean Privateering Ltd.
Debbie,Leigh,Professor,Duke University

Expedite Fee
If the request is quicker than our stated turn-around time for a given order, an expedite fee may be assessed. Please specify turnaround time in the required field.

*Do not send original art or something you cannot afford to lose. Condé Systems is not responsible for loss or damage of proofs.
** Prints from your printer will not match the output from our printer. Your customer needs to approve a proof from our printer.

HELPFUL HINTS
Because of differences in monitor calibration and flat-bed scanner calibration, there can be drastic differences between the image as it appears on the computer monitor and the final product. Artwork generated in a “RGB” format versus the “CMYK” format of the Four-Color print process may experience drastic color differences that we will not be held responsible for.
