A small revolution took place recently when Sawgrass Inks announced they had developed a sublimation solution for the Ricoh® GX7000™ printer, which has the all-important Micro-Piezo® printhead. The Ricoh® GelsPrinter™ line combines the best qualities of inkjet and laser printing. The new Sawgrass SubliJet-R™ sublimation gel ink cartridges give a brighter color gamut, are easy to use and do not require an ink connection system. The digital decorating world set out to test and discover what was unique and efficient about these newest printers available for dye-sub transfers. For the first time, Condé Systems President David Gross became enthusiastic about a non-Epson printer for sublimation transfer.

For sublimation, Condé supports the GX5050, GX7000, and the new GX e3300n, all using the SubliJet-R gel cartridges. The Ricoh printers are so impressive, testing began on using them for Heat Transfer Paper applications and they have proved to be excellent for that as well. We use them in our own offices for general office printing and we love the driver pop-ups that warn when we need to add paper or change cartridges, not to mention how fast the prints appear. As a result of all this excitement, we have decided to offer the whole line of GelsPrinters to meet your every printing requirement in desktop size applications.
