Heat Press Instructions |
Hover transfer under open heat press for 10 seconds to dry excess moisture. Nomex and green rubber must be larger than the outlet being pressed.Dwell time: 3.5 Minutes for single position switch plate and 4 minutes for double position plate. 1) Trim image to be transferred to within 1/8" of the border of the the light switch plate. Print the transfer. Be sure to use a liberal bleed of the image when requiring edge-to-edge coverage on the switch plate. Place heat tape over the rectangluar switch plate openings. Apply transfer to the switch plate ensuring that the tape sticks to the transfer. Wet the edges of the transfer with water. This can be done simply by spreading the water with a wetted finger tip. Make small diagonal cuts in each corner of the transfer border (not the image area) to help your image spread on the corners. 2) Cover the press with a protective sheet of paper. Place the Nomex felt on top of the protective paper and cover with the 1/8" green rubber pad. For best results, trim the rubber to 3.75” x 5.25” for singles and 4.75” x 5.25” for doubles. 3) Position the light switch plate with the imaging side face down onto the green rubber pad. Insert the aluminum insert strip onto the plate covering the round hole openings. Protective aluminum insert: Part #LSP05 or LSP06. Be sure to remove the protective peel coating from the metal. 4) Press with Temp/Time/Pressure settings listed above. Should transfer to the edges of the substrate not be complete, incrementally increase pressure and dwell time until you achieve the desired result. It is recommended that you only moderately increase the pressure while adding 30 seconds to dwell time for each subsequent pressing. If the pressure seems to be heavy then discontinue increasing it. Should your dwell time exceed 6 minutes and the image is not transferring correctly, please contact technical support for help. 1.800.826.6332 |
