Green Heat Conductive Rubber Pads Heat conductive rubber pads are used to provide even heat to surfaces that might not be perfectly flat. It is our recommendation for imaging porcelain, stone and glass tile, glass cutting boards, and porcelain ornaments. Green silicon rubber pads are most commonly used in pressing to porcelain and glass. We offer these pads in two thicknesses for dye sublimation imprinting: ~ The 1/16"(.0625") thickness is recommended for jewelry and porcelain ornaments. HCR-16 ~ 1/8" (.125") is perfect for glass cutting boards, tiles and plaques. HCR-18 Heat conductive rubber, also referred to as green heat conductive rubber, is a unique closed cell silicone sponge that has very fine ceramic particles mixed in the polymer to enhance its thermal properties. This expanded, conductive rubber helps distribute pressure and protect delicate materials in the heat press. Heat conductive rubber press pad material is visually identified by its light green color and fine fabric finish. The 1 Linear Yards are cut to fit your specifications. You order it in any width you want and it would be 36" (or 60") long. Avoid leaving it in water or wet. Also do not leave it in direct heat or sunlight. A cool dry place is the best storage area. ........................................................................................ DK3 Heater GREEN PAD replacement instructions Use HCR-18510 and 1. Scrape off all green rubber carefully: do not cut the temperature sensor wire under the green pad at the bottom. 2. Removing all adhesive is not necessary: basic smoothness is all we need. Do not remove the band heater from the frame either - not necessary and won't help. 3. Apply high temp silicone adhesive to one entire side of pad. We recommend FAC-SILC3. 4. Stick pad onto band heater. Put 2 mugs into the press back to back and clamp the press locked shut with EXTREMELY LIGHT PRESSURE, so the green pad is held in place evenly, but the adhesive is not overly squeezed out. 5. Let it cure/dry overnight. |
